Youth Portal "Vertical"
We made a turnkey bright portal for the Youth Policy Department of the Voronezh Region. Active youth can find current events there, participate in contests and festivals, and learn new things about the city and its life. At first glance, you wouldn't even say it is an official project.
Starting Point
We were commissioned to develop a website for a government project that young people would actively use. To attract young people, a strict and neutral design is not necessary; rather, a bright and lively one is needed — precisely what the client requested.
Main Lines
We took a block system as the basis — just what is needed to create a dynamic website that easily adapts to any content. This solution helps to organize the content, and the structure also looks great on different screen sizes. Additionally, using such a system facilitates the site's further development and growth. Each block is a separate component. Its composition can be changed and reused on other pages — nothing will break.
Front Page
We also made the main page more lively by adding moving elements to the blocks, a running line in the site header, and animated tiles.
Youth Direction
We designed the navigation to enable users to easily orient themselves on the site. Added different content formats, including news, special projects, and announcements, so that even if you want, you won’t get confused, because there is a rubricator.
What About Letters?
For "Vertical" we chose the Sligoil font, it combines strict letters, as if typed on a typewriter, and bold lines. It seems that a little more and it will become completely serious, but for now it feels the youthful spirit.
Finish Line
As a result, a bright website with convenient navigation was created, which gathers the main events of the city's youth life. It is intuitively understandable, and most importantly, easy to interact with, not only for users but also for the client. "Vertical" has already set off on its own voyage, and we proudly watch how it drives the youth of Voronezh and collects awards at competitions.
