We designed an internal application for creative professionals and their clients.
Development for the Community
We needed to design an internal mini-application for the community of creators of Prostor. The concept was that the product would act as a freelance exchange combined with a portfolio platform. With the help of the application, designers could find clients, and clients — performers. Let us say ahead: the concept was successfully realized.
Starting Point
The client came with ready-made mockups and a vision of the final product. This helped to understand the request in more detail. However, the mockups did not encompass all scenarios, so we used them as a basis but significantly reworked and redesigned the service from scratch, considering the user's needs. We worked closely with the client's team, collected references, and arrived at standard solutions.
Capabilities of "Studio"
Both performers and clients can register on the platform. Depending on the selected profile, the functionality changes to suit a specific request. A performer can create a portfolio in "Studio" from scratch or import an existing one from other platforms. There is also a scenario for collaboration with other specialists.
Work on the Project
Our team spent about three months on the entire work. During this period, we conducted market research, finalized the internal logic, and developed the design. We utilized best market practices and integrated convenient features from social networks into the application, including likes, comments, and the ability to subscribe to favorite creators.
Challenging but Possible
he main functional limitation of the project is the mini-application format. The service itself is extensive, comprising multiple sections and various tasks. To fit such a scale into a mini-application, we created different levels of navigation: through the bottom tapbar and the field at the top of the screen.
Advantages of "Studio"
Among competitors, there are indeed platforms that allow users to find performers or clients, as well as separate platforms featuring portfolios. "Studio" combines this functionality. You can log in to the application using your VK ID and have your basic data automatically filled in. Another advantage is the specificity of the audience: Prostor unites young creators, making it easier for clients to find a unique specialist for their project through the application. "Studio" became an organic extension and development of Prostor's creative platform capabilities, providing the community with new ways to grow.
